
First Appearance

The Suzu Mahjong Parlor (鈴雀荘, suzu jansō) is a location in Okinomiya.

It first appeared in the games starting with Watanagashi-hen. In the anime it is shown earlier in hen">Onikakushi-hen, when Ōishi calls Keiichi from said parlor. In that episode it is shown the parlor is owned by an old woman who's watching TV in her partition.

The parlor makes a more prominent appearance in Hirukowashi-hen when Rena, under the magatama's influence, followed Ōishi there to play mahjong. Keiichi and Akasaka play against the two in order to "save" Rena.

Trivia

Ōishi and his team often discuss secret plans there, as shown by the owner's mild reaction in Watanagashi-hen.
One example of this is when they were organazing the plan to raid the Sonozaki Main House.
According to the entrance shown in the anime, this parlor plays tonpūsen (東風戦) games.
