</PRE></noinclude>Komiyama is a character in the Higurashi no Na ku Koro ni and an officer of the Okinomiya police department. He first appears in Onikakushi-hen, when he tells Ōishi that he received a call for him from a payphone. He is one of the three police officers who investigates Irie's and Tamae's deaths. Komiyama appears in the anime adaptations during investigations, usually with Kumagai and Ōishi, or in the police station et cetera. He is mentioned many times in the original visual novels.
