Akasaka Yukie (赤坂雪絵) is Akasaka Mamoru's wife, and Akasaka Miyuki's mother. She is only seen in Himatsubushi-hen and at the end of Matsuribayashi-hen. In that chapter she stays in the hospital while she is pregnant. In Minagoroshi-hen and Matsuribayashi-hen however, it is revealed in these alternate timelines that Mamoru returned early after heeding Furude Rika's warning, thus preventing her death of falling down stairs.

Etymology

Akasaka means "red" (赤) (aka) and "slope, hill" (坂) (saka).
Yukie means "snow" (雪) (yuki) and "picture, painting" (絵) (e).
