</PRE></noinclude>Inugai Toshiki (in the original visual novels and light novels, changed to "Inukai Toshiki" in the anime, manga, drama CDs and console VNs) is the grandson of the Construction Minister, M. Inugai, and the son of an important member of the Construction Ministry. Two Yamainu soldiers kidnap him in Himatsubushi-hen, and Akasaka Mamoru investigates. The Yamainus hide him in Takatsudo; however, because of he experiences pain, they summon Irie to treat him. Akasaka and Ōishi find his dropped identity card and wallet, locate, and rescue him.
