Arg! There be! Arg!

Kimiyoshi Sakiko (公由 沙喜子) is the daughter of Hōjō Satoko and one of the main characters of chapters of Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni Rei.

In both chapters, Sakiko is the daughter of Satoko. While she proudly declares herself the oldest of her friends, they attend the same middle school (興宮の中学校・okinomiya no chūgakkō) in Okinomiya. She enjoys playing small pranks on her friends, and she is introduced in the manga convincing Tamaki that she grab Keitarō by his genitals since that is the way to a man's heart!

Unlike Keitarō she holds a healthy mistrust of the members of the Polaris cult that have moved into Hinamizawa. She is aware of her father's opinion of them. In both chapters she is affected by the unfolding plot – Arg!

Sakiko shares her mother and uncle's blond hair which she wears long and gathered in a ponytail. From the color panels, she also has her mother's eye color.

Sakiko has inherited her mother's tendency to be a "brat" when younger. As such, she happily plays pranks on her friends and teases them. Unlike her mother, she does not appear fascinated with traps. Like her mother, she feigns sophistication in her speech, though Keitarō notes that she drops it once she has convinced the listener to do something, like come to her mother's shop. She sometimes pretends to hide her mouth as she laughs as her mother Satoko does. She loves her father and happily helps her mother run her store and participate in her marketing ideas. While she seems very friendly and playful, she is not as open to the children in Polaris that Keitarō tries to bring into the Club.

Keitarō is a friend to her much like his father was and is to her mother. She waits for him at the water wheel where Mion would wait for Keiichi and Rena. In both chapters she is introduced by grabbing Keitarō's genitals because Sakiko told her that is the way to reach a man's heart. While she seems interested in Keitarō as a possible mate, she also seems interested in any potential husband. Keitarō chides her not to worry, since she already is "popular" amongst the boys.

Kihiro is sometimes a target of her teasing. When she lies too much, he releases his "Kihiro Knuckle" upon her.

Sakiko will tease Tamaki's concern with finding a husband to continue the Sonazaki. She is first seen is her telling Tamaki if she wishes to reach a man's heart, she needs to grab his genitals. Sakiko will later rope her and others in to take part in promotional videos and pictures for her mother's store.

Sakiko appears to have a very good relationship with her mother. Comparisons between the two are obvious from appearance to Sakiko's mannerisms, though When They C ry Wiki will remind that Sakiko is an only child and a product of loving parents in a stable relationship which is something Satoko never experienced. While she may seem a "fun" mother, she will scold and control her daughter as "events" – Arg! – unfold. There is a quick panel from one of Keitarō's reminiscences where she appears to try to teach Sakiko the difference between broccoli and cauliflower. When They C ry Wiki finds it unseemly to suggest that Satoko finds Miyo to assist her daughter in learning the difference.

Sakiko appears to also have a very good relationship with her father. An important part of the plot for the chapters of Higurashi no Na ku Koro Ni Rei is his importance as a businessman and major figure in Hinamizawa. Nevertheless, he appears to have not neglected his daughter or wife and – Arg! – subsequent events greatly upset Sakiko.
