Ayakashi sen shi-hen (妖 戦 し編, Demon Battling Chapter) is an anime only arc in Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kira. In this arc Rika accidentally ends up in an alternate world along with Satoko. While it seems like a completely different world, the world of Ayakashi sen shi-hen overlaps with the situation in Rika's world.
The story focuses on Rika who has to become a magical girl in order to stop the evil organization "Tokyo Magika" from taking over Hinamizawa. "Tokyo Magika" itself is a parody of the main antagonist of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, such as Takano Miyo, Okonogi, Nomura and Hōjō Teppei. While Rika and Satoko are being chased by some mysterious monsters the problems keep growing: a mysterious fog falls on Hinamizawa and makes the villagers act strange.
