Wata dama shi-hen (綿騙し編, Cotton Deception Chapter) is an anime and manga only arc that was introduced as the second chapter in Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Gō, the third season of the anime series. The name is similar with the second chapter of the first season, Watanagashi-hen.

Disappearances and Deaths

Disappearances

Tomitake Jirō: drove off from the village with a stolen truck and went missing after the Watanagashi Festival on June 19, 1983.
Takano Miyo: also went missing with Tomitake on June 19, 1983.

Deaths

Kimiyoshi Kiichirō: found at the bottom of the well at the Sonozaki Underground Tool House.
Sonozaki Oryō: also found dead at the bottom of the well.
Sonozaki Shion: her corpse was found in the aforementioned well.
Furude Rika: found in the outside septic tank of the Hinamizawa School.
Sonozaki Mion: found shot to death in the Sonozaki Mansion's hallway with scratch marks on her neck and a gun lying next to her.
Hōjō Satoko: also found shot to death next to the Mion's corpse in the same hallway.
