</PRE> </noinclude> Oni aka shi-hen (鬼明し編, Demon-Revealing Chapter) is an anime only arc that was introduced as the first arc of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Sotsu, and it serves as an answer.png.png arc to Onidamashi-hen. While similar, as of the second episode, it is impossible to determine whether this is a different kakera (time fragment) or the same as Oni dama shi-hen 's but from Rena's perspective.

The episodes have a prologue followed by the opening titles. The titles, with the song "Analogy" by Ayane, show. Episodes end with "Missing Promise" by Suzuki Konomi with a watercolor sequence similar to the previous season's endings. Adult Rika's voice then announces the next episode.

Manga Adaption

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Meguri (ひぐらしのなく頃に巡, When the Cicadas Cry: Tour) is the currently ongoing Tomato Akase's manga reconstruction of anime series which promises differences. These will be described in that main article.

Disappearances and Deaths

All deaths and disappearances are listed only as they are told in Oniakashi-hen. Spoilers only for the individual arc, not the overall series.

Deaths

Mamiya Rina, killed by Rena at the Dam Construction Site with her nata. Following the murder, Rena dismembers her corpse and hides the wrapped part in a broken refrigerator.
Ryūgū Rena, injected by Hōjō Satoko with H-173 and reached the L5 stage of the Hinamizawa Syndrome. Tried to assault Keiichi in his house, but got beaten to death by him instead.
Furude Rika, stabbed herself in the throat multiple times with a kitchen knife and bled to death.
Hōjō Satoko, slit her throat with the same knife and bled to death.
