鬼明し編

class="color1" colspan="2" style="background-color:indigo;" | Information

Oniakashi-hen (鬼明し編, Demon-Revealing Chapter) is an anime only arc that was introduced as the first arc of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Sotsu, and it serves as an answer arc to Onidamashi-hen. While similar, as of the second episode, it is impossible to determine whether this is a different kakera (time fragment) or the same as Onidamashi-hen's but from Rena's perspective.

The episodes have a prologue followed by the opening titles. The titles, with the song "Analogy" by Ayane, show. Episodes end with "Missing Promise" by Suzuki Konomi with a watercolor sequence similar to the previous season's endings. Adult Rika's voice then announces the next episode.
